Photo editing:

I thought it would be fun to take a
moment and talk about Photo editing.
it is a very big part of the photography
process. I spend about 80% more time
editing than I do on the actual Photo
shoot. The above photo was taken in
partial shade on a sunny day (Camera:
Canon 5D mark II, 1/125 sec @ f/4
ISO 100). The lighting was a real
challenge. I like to use Adobe Lightroom
for most of the editing I do. Lightroom
has some great lighting and softening
brushes in the develop module. Adobe
Photoshop CS5 can also prove very
useful for those tricky edits.
It would be a lot easier to shoot in
studio where lighting can be controlled
more, however if you find yourself in
less than ideal settings all is not lost!
